In plain language: MyStylist stores all your wardrobe data and photos on your device only. No account is needed. We do not sell your data. The only time data leaves your device is when you add a clothing item (photo sent to Google Gemini AI for tagging) or ask for outfit suggestions (text sent to Google Gemini AI). Google does not use these requests to train its models under the current API terms.
MyStylist ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a personal AI wardrobe and outfit-planning application for Android, developed and published by Keerthi K (keerthik97117@gmail.com). This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use it.
By installing and using MyStylist, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
The App collects two types of information: data you provide directly, and data generated automatically by the App.

We use the information collected solely to operate the App:
We do not use your information for:
MyStylist uses the Google Gemini API (via Firebase AI Logic) to power two features: AI photo tagging and outfit suggestion generation. When you add a clothing item or request outfit suggestions, the relevant data (photo and/or text) is sent to Google's servers over HTTPS.
The App uses Firebase App Check with Play Integrity to verify that API requests come from the genuine MyStylist app and not from unauthorised sources. This sends a device integrity attestation to Google. No personal data is included in this attestation. See Firebase Privacy Information.
Background removal from clothing photos is performed entirely on your device using Google's ML Kit Subject Segmentation library. No photo data is sent to Google's servers for this feature. Processing happens locally and the result stays on your device.
The App does not include any advertising SDK (Google AdMob, Meta Ads, etc.), analytics SDK (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.), or crash reporting service (Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.).
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| CAMERA | To capture photos of clothing items directly within the App.
The camera is only activated when you tap "Take photo". Declared
as not required (android:required="false") so the App
installs on devices without a camera. |
| READ_MEDIA_IMAGES (or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android) |
To allow you to pick existing clothing photos from your gallery via the system Photo Picker. |
| INTERNET | To send photos and text to Google Gemini AI for tagging and outfit suggestions. The App functions with its offline engine if there is no network connection. |
All wardrobe data (item details, wear counts, favourites) is stored in a SQLite database in the App's private internal storage using Android's Room library. Clothing photos are stored in the App's private internal directory. Both locations are:
We do not operate any servers or cloud databases. We have no ability to access your wardrobe data remotely.
Your data is retained for as long as you use the App. You can delete individual wardrobe items at any time from within the App. To delete all data, uninstall the App — this permanently removes all photos, item records, and profile information from your device.
Because we do not operate a server or maintain a copy of your data, there is no additional deletion step required on our side.
MyStylist is rated "Everyone" (3+) on Google Play and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through this App, please contact us at keerthik97117@gmail.com and we will take steps to address it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify users through an in-app notice or the Google Play store listing update notes.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and we do not hold a copy, you already have full control:
